Royals (2-4) 4 AT Tigers (5-3) 5 – Niko Goodrum had 3 RBI for the Tigers who won their 3rd straight. Spencer Turnbull struck out 10 over 6 innings. Alex Gordon homered for Kansas City.
Nationals (3-3) 4 AT Mets (5-2) 0 – Stephen Strasburg pitched 6 and 2/3rd shutout innings. The Nationals held the Mets to just 4 hits. Victor Robles hit his 2nd round tripper of the year.
Yankees (3-4) 8 Orioles (4-3) 4 – Gleyber Torres became the youngest Yankee since Joe DiMaggio to hit 3 extra-base hits in a 4-hit performance. He hit 2 homers, the second was a 3-run shot. Gary Sanchez and Luke Voit also went yard for the Yankees.
Red Sox (2-6) 3 AT Athletics (6-4) 7 – Stephen Piscotty had 4 hits and 5 RBI to lift the A’s. J.D. Martinez went deep for Boston, but they couldn’t shake another rough outing by a Starter.
Blue Jays (3-5) 1 AT Indians (3-3) 4 – Trevor Bauer walked 6 and threw 117 pitches through 7 innings. They kept him in because he was unhittable. The Indians remained with the no-hitter until the 9th. Jose Ramirez fouled a ball off his foot and later was taken out, but it seems to have just been a precaution.
Reds (1-5) 0 AT Pirates (2-3) 2 – The Pirates used 4 pitchers to shut out the Reds. Jordan Lyles pitched 5 scoreless in his team debut. Tyler Mahle tossed 6 scoreless but received no run support.
Cubs (1-5) 4 AT Braves (3-3) 9 – Nick Markakis knocked 3 doubles and 5 RBI in a 5-hit night. Max Fried went 6 scoreless and only gave up 1 hit. Yu Darvish struggled again. Javier Baez and Anthony Rizzo homered in the 9th for Chicago.
Rangers (5-2) 11 AT Angels (1 -6) 4 – Joey Gallo hit a 3-run bomb and the Rangers scored 5 in the 1st. Mike Trout went yard for his 1st of the year. The Rangers entire Lineup picked up a hit except Rougned Odor. They scored 11 runs on 15 hits.
Clayton Kershaw pitched in a rehab start for AAA Dodgers, he pitched 4.1 innings and threw 61 pitches.
