Nationals (11-12) 5 AT Rockies (11-14) 9 – Nolan Arenado had 3 RBI to spark a slumping Rockies offense. The Rockies scored 4 in the 3rd, 2 in the 4th, and 3 in the 8th. German Marquez continued his strong start to the season with 7 innings of 3-run ball dropping the Nats below 500.

Ian Kinsler’s 2nd inning blast was all the young pitcher needed. The Mariners offense seems to have disappeared as they have dropped 7 of their last 10. They were held to just 2 hits total on the night. Meanwhile the Padres have won 3 in a row.

Giants (11-14) 4 AT Blue Jays (11-14) 0 – Drew Pomeranz threw 6 shutout innings as the Giants held the Jays to 2 hits. Pablo Sandoval homered in the win. The Giants completed a 2-game sweep over Toronto for their 3rd straight win.

Merrill Kelly pitched 7 innings and gave up 2 runs. The D-backs have a chance for a 4-game sweep tomorrow.

White Sox (9-14) 3 AT Orioles (10-16) 4 – Stevie Wilkerson homered, and the Orioles held off the White Sox. Jose Abreu doubled in a run in the 9th to make it a 1 run game with just 1 out. The rally stopped there as the Sox left 11 on base.

Tigers (12-11) 4 AT Red Sox (10-15) 11 – The recent Yankee win streak has made Red Sox fans even more nervous about their early season struggles. The Red Sox may have assuaged some of those concerns with a 12-hit 11-run performance. The Red Sox scored 3 runs on walks during a wild 7-run 8th. Eduardo Rodriguez gave up 1 run over 6 innings.

Phillies (13-11) 6 AT Mets (13-11) 0 – The Phillies used 5 pitchers to shutout the Mets. Rhys Hoskins homered and every Philly starter, except for the pitcher, had a hit. Robinson Cano’s 3-3 day accounted for half of the Mets hits. The Mets were 0-6 with runners in scoring position and now are tied with the Phils at the top of the NL East.

Dodgers (15-11) 6 AT Cubs (12-10) 7 – Cody Bellinger’s 12th homer gave the Dodgers a 3 run lead going into the bottom of the 6th. The Cubs then hit 2 3-run homers in a 6-run 6th. Alex Verdugo hit a 3-run shot of his own in the 8th to make it a 1-run game, but that’s as close as the Dodgers would get.
